Winnipeg Waldo

I remember when I first saw images the guy from Where's Waldo (or "OI! WHERE'S THAT WALLY LAD, INNIT?" in the UK) in 2017, not long after I returned from a trip to Toronto. His face was showing up throughout all my regular neighbourhoods. I eventually learned (probably embarrassingly late, given how long it takes me to actually look stuff up on social media on my own) that there is an Instagram account for this artist that features a far greater range of variations on this face. It's become so common for me to see him around that I don't take many new pictures, but it always cheers me up to see he's still around. Much easier than the fucking nightmare that is the actual books.

Edit: the artist is taking a hiatus, but I'm sure I'll still see lots of these around.

The end of a bridge railing with a wooden block glued to it that has an expressionless image of a darker version of Waldo/Wally with red and black garb instead of red and white, and the caption at the top #winnipegWaldo

A light blue tile on a black lamp post with an expressionless face of Waldo/Wally with the normal red and white colours. There is a blurry street in the background.

A thick grey trunk of a parking ticket station with a sticker on it of an expressionless Waldo/Wally with the normal red and white colours and a sort of smudged black hexagon type pattern within it.

A phone booth with a wooden block with Waldo/Wally's face on it (no nose or mouth but at least there are pupils this time!) and the #winnipegWaldo hashtag.

A street trash bin with a gravel/stone facade, with a purple tile with planets and stars in the background, and Waldo/Wally in an orange spacesuit, smiling like he does in the books, and #WinnipegWaldo in a serif typeface at the top.

A grey metal box on the street with a sticker of a standard Waldo/Wally just looking up, smiling at us all.

A full body walking expressionless Waldo/Wally painted on a grey piece of wood on a painted concrete wall. The painting is a bit worn for wear, with other gibberish tags painted around it and a giant dick painted protruding from more or less where Waldo's actual giant dick would come from.

A dull grey box on a sidewalk with light pinky beige tile glued to it featuring a smiling Waldo/Wally wearing a hat in light blue and light pink, because fuck yeah trans rights!
